STEAM URBAN’s goal with The Power of Self-Sustaining Communities & Green Spaces is to create a Cultural Green Print, in other words, create impactful avenues for community sustainability and resilience by activating urban parks, gardens and farms with arts and culture.
We will do so by collaborating with our strong network of community organizations, community gardens and farms, schools, parks and the growers, educators, creatives, healers, advocates and neighborhood leaders that operate those spaces. (click on photo for more information)

Oil, gas, coal companies and the banks that finance them are profiting from polluting our air and water, desecrating our land, and intentionally blocking the political will to act before it’s too late.
Banks and financial institutions like Chase and Wells Fargo have a chance to change their ways, to stop pouring fuel on the fire and to invest instead in a liveable green future.

Newark Join us in solidarity as we call on Chase and Wells Fargo to move their money out of fossil fuels and into the good, green jobs our communities need.Invest in clean energy and green jobs here in Newark and Essex County!
