Newark Green Team is part of the Newark Tree Canopy Initiative (NTCI). A city-wide initiative to plant 2,700 trees with South Ward Environmental Alliance, Ironbound Community Corporation, Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program, NJIT Center for Natural Resources, Trust for Public Land, Greater Newark Conservancy, Unified Vailsburg Services Organization, and The Nature Conservancy with additional support from City of Newark Office of Sustainability, Resilience, and Community Transformation.
